Well Water

We consider well water testing one of the most important screenings that we do. Wells are often exposed to many different physical and environmental hazards, such as fertilizers, diesel particulates, microbial overgrowth, and hundreds of toxic contaminants. Key Laboratory Services can screen your private water supply for any chemically identified component. Basic recommended screening for well water includes coliform analysis including the identification of E- coli, along with nitrates. These tests are considered routine and should be performed semi-annually to ensure quality and safety. A regular chlorination schedule should also be set up for your well to keep microbial levels low. We suggest following the recommendations set by the Illinois Department of Public Health for appropriate chlorination levels, based on the size of your well.
